In this edition of Everyday Science, host Brian Jones brings students into the studio to learn all about the concept of energy. Highlights include: demonstrating an alcohol flame-powered car, burning peanuts, and cooking a hot dog with electricity. Brian also talks about different forms of energy including kinetic, potential, chemical, and nuclear. Brian gives viewers recipes for trying many of these experiments at home.

You probably won't want to cook a hot dog by passing electricity through it, but you might want to try your hand at some of the other simple experiments that we did on this episode. We will have some ideas and information soon!
