Cara Cummings joined the Little Shop of Physics
in August of 2007. She recently earned her Elementary Education
teacher's certification from the University of Northern Colorado's Post
Baccalaureate program. Cara holds a B.A. from the University of
Montana in Environmental Studies with minors in Wilderness and Native
American Studies. Prior to her arrival at Little Shop, she
completed her student teaching at the Teton Science Schools Journey
School, worked as a librarian and paraprofessional for Poudre School
District, taught ecology and snow science for the Keystone Science
School, and lived next to a whooping crane rehabilitation center while
interning for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service outside of Washington
D.C. Cara is currently working towards a masters degree in elementary education at UNC. She is passionate about learning as much as possible about teaching children and adults about the world they live in. She also enjoys running, Nordic skiing, mountain biking, swimming, exploring all kinds of places, and just looking at the clouds.
