Each year, we take everything we have, set it up on tables, open our doors, and invite folks to come and do some experiments with us. In 2009, over 5000 people spent a Saturday with us doing just that. We think that this is the biggest event of its kind in the country. And we know it's the best. |

The highlight of the day was our 250+ hands-on experiments. Tie-dye clad volunteers (over 100!) provided advice and assistance.

Throughout the day, we had interactive presentations on the physics of music, science of sparks, the world Beyond the Rainbow...

New this year was our "Atmospheric Adventures" area. The folks at CMMAP put together a great set of activities. Students made and painted clouds, made ice cores, spoke with scientists. And learned about the science of our atmosphere.
